The Land

Covering six acres, The Land is Future World's largest pavilion. It's size reflects it's topic, agriculture, since this one of the biggest parts of the United States. Inside the pavilion, under a huge skylight, guests will find a series of educational, yet entertaining, attractions dealing with agriculture, nutrition, and the environment. They include Living with the Land, a gentle boat ride through a series of real plant laboratories; Food Rocks, a humorous "rock concert" about nutrition; and the Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable, a film starring characters from "The Lion King" dealing with the environment. Besides these attractions, The Land also houses working greenhouses and laboratories where graduate students in agriculture and related disciplines come together to study the latest technology and ideas. Living with the land

On Living with the Land, guests learn about man's relationship with nature; and see a lot of food along the way. So, if your hungry and want to eat right away, this is not the ride for you! At the beginning of the 13-minute boat ride, guests sail through three very detailed ecological environments: a tropical rainforest, a prairie grain field, and a family farm. These are used to show mankind's struggle to maintain ecological balance, while cultivating the land. Next, the ride moves on the working greenhouses, where guests see many fascinating experiments such as hydroponics, a technique of growing plants in water instead of soil. Guests even see an area where fish are being raised and harvested like other farm products!

Food Rocks!

Food Rocks is a nutritional mockery of a rock concert. This humorous 15-minute show takes well known rock songs and changes their lyrics to make them about nutrition. For instance, there is a group called the Peach Boys who sing a song called "Good Nutrition", which is making fun of the Beach Boys song, "Good Vibration". Before the show starts, guests can amuse themselves in the pre-show area, where there are various interactive games and displays about nutrition and food. The main show is hosted by Füd Rapper (a giant food wrapper) , who is inspired by rapper Tone Loc. He introduces such Audio-Animatronic groups as Pita Gabriel, Chubby Cheddar, Neil Moussaka, the Get-the-Point Sisters, and even the refrigerator police singing "Every Bite you Take".

The Circle of Life

The Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable is an interesting 20-minute film that combines animation with live footage to teach guests about environmental responsibility. The film stars Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa from "The Lion King". It starts off with a stunning live-action version of the "Circle of Life" scene from "The Lion King". The movie then switches to Timon and Pumbaa who are clearing the savanna for the development of the Hakuna Matata Lakeside Village. Simba is shocked when he finds them, and decides to tell them a story once told to him by his father. The story, which is demonstrated using live-action footage, tells of the consequences of progress and the way humans mistreat the air, water, and land. After the story, Timon and Pumbaa realize their mistake and decide to cancel the Hakuna Matate Lakeside Village.
