River Country

Welcome to Walt Disney World's oldest water park! River Country was built in 1976, and unlike Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon there are not a ton of water attractions but there are two white water rapid inner tube rides, a huge heated swimming pool, two water slides that begin seven feet up, and you plunge all the way into a huge pool of water that is waiting below. And then there is Bay Cove which is part of Bay Lake. It features rope swings, a ships boom, and lots more. My advise to all of you planning a trip to Walt Disney World is that if you have young children I recommend that you come here instead of Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon, because there is more to do here for young children opposed to older children.

Bay Cove

Bay Cove which is nicknamed "The Ol' Swimmin' Hole" is part of Bay Lake. It features rope swings, a ships boom for swooping and plunging, as well as a white sandy beach. There is also a kiddie area that has got a few smaller slides that go into Bay Cove.

ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhhhhhhhh (not not Tarzan but im falling into River Country!)

iv been on that (then I fell off!)

Upstream Plunge

This 330,000 gallon swimming pool is perfect to get out of the hot Florida sun. Located in the pool are a pair of water slides called "Slippery Slide Falls." They begin about 14 feet up and you plunge seven feet in mid air all the way to where the slide ends sending you screaming into the pool.

White Water Raft Raft Ride

Here at River Country there are two white water rapid inner tube rides for you to expirence. You start high up on top of what the folks call "The Hoop-'N-Holler-Hollow." This tube ride sends you cork screwing around and around in a constant circular motion. You keep going in circles all the way to the bottom. And when you think the ride is over a gush of cold water comes out of no where and freezes you.

sometimes even Goofy like to ride these slides
