Camp Mini Mickey

Similar to Mickey's Toontown Fair at The Magic Kingdom, Camp Minnie-Mickey is primarily a place to meet and greet Disney characters. Secondarily it is a place to see some great live stage shows. Designed to resemble an Adirondack fishing camp, it is surrounded by dozens of evergreens and a rushing river. Children are able to interact with their favourite Disney characters in four beautifully-designed character kiosks. The other attractions in Camp Minnie-Mickey include Festival of the Lion King, a spectacular live show themed to "The Lion King"; and Grandmother Willow's Grove, a delightful live stage show starring Pocahontas. Restaurants in Camp Minnie-Mickey include Campside Funnel Cakes, and Chip 'n' Dale's Cookie Cabin, and they serve funnel cakes, corn dogs, cookies, and ice cream.

Festival of the Lion King

One of the most lively and boisterous stage shows at Walt Disney World, Festival of the Lion King takes guests on a rollicking trip through the 1994 Disney animated hit. Guests are seated in four different sections around the stage, so that the actors are surrounded, creating a very energetic atmosphere. As the performance begins, four large floats, containing Audio-Animatronic African animals, sets and a couple of the movie's characters, move to the four corners of the theatre setting the stage for this breathtaking show. A troupe of performers draped in colouful and vibrant animal outfits then take centre stage to reenact several popular songs from The Lion King with great singing, stupendous acrobatics, and other awe-inspiring feats. During one of the songs, Tumble Monkeys turn the stage into a jungle gym for a 5-minute spectacle of jumping, flipping, and swinging. During the villainous song, "Be Prepared", guests are impressed by a performer twirling a large flaming baton. The most beautiful feat though, occurs near the end, during the song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". As the lead performers sing out the beautiful tune, a performer in a vibrant bird outfit actually flies around the theatre, creating one of the most memorable experiences of this unforgetable show.

Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends

Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends is a delightful 12-minute show featuring a couple of characters from the 1995 Disney film, although it is not a recreation of the film. Like the movie, conservation is the show's message as Pocahontas hears her forest being cut down around her. She goes to the wise old tree, Grandmother Willow, for help. She tells Pocahontas that there is only one creature of the forest who has the power to protect it, but which one? As Pocahontas and another one of her tree friends, a small sapling, puzzle over the mysterious creature, they encounter various animals from her great forest. Racoons, mice, rabbits, possums, porcupines, skunks, and even snakes wander across the stage at various times throughout the performance, greatly adding to the forest atmosphere that the beautiful set already evokes. After a few verses of the Pocahontas song "Colours of the Wind", she realizes that the one creature who has the power to protect the forest is us.
