Advantureland

Adventureland is one of my most favourite lands at the Magic Kingdom because it has some of the best attractions. This land has a Caribbean/Polynesian/Southeast Asian theme to it. The attractions at this land consist of The Pirates of the Caribbean, a ride through a Caribbean town that is being plundered by pirates; The Enchanted Tiki Birds: Under New Management , a new musical show starring Iago from Alladin and Zazu from The Lion King; the Jungle Cruise, a dangerous cruise past animals from the Amazon to Africa; the Swiss Family Treehouse, a replica of the tree house from the 1960 movie "Swiss Family Robinson" complete with running water; and the newest Adventureland attraction in 30 years, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, a dumbo-style ride with flying carpets and spitting camels! The food and merchandise also have the tropical theme with the shops consisting of Traders of Timbuktu, Bwana Bob's, Elephant Tales, Island Supply, House of Treasure, and Plaza Del Sol Caribe Bazaar where you can buy sombreros, straw bags, tropical-themed clothes, jewelry, toys, etc. The restaurants comprise: Sunshine Tree Terrace, Aloha Isle, El Pirata Y El Perico, and the Oasis where you can buy everytthing from egg rolls to Mexican food.

Attractions

The Jungle Cruise

The Jungle Cruise is a boat ride that takes guests from the Amazon rainforest to the African plains and past many humorous sights in between. You'll pass an elephant bathing pool, a stranded safari expedition, an old cambodian temple, and even a headhunter who will trade two of his heads for one of yours. The animals are all beautifully created Audio-Animatronics that the Imagineers have managed to put human facial emotions into. During the ride the captain of the boat (which by the way was made to look like the boat from the movie "The African Queen")cracks jokes and puns which are so stupid they're funny. Overall, I think this is a ride that is no to be missed with it's lush tropical foliage and bubble-blowing hippos.

hmmmmm looks inocent doesnt it? but be warned DONT CROSS THE CRATES!!

The Swiss Family Treehouse

The Swiss Family Treehouse is a large manmade tree that has been made to look just like the tree from the 1960 movie "Swiss Family Robinson" in which a family get's shipwrecked on a deserted island and builds a gigantic treehouse to live in. Guests who care to take in this attraction walk up many stairs, past many open-air bedrooms where hamocks serve as beds, past a kitchen, a library, and many other amazingly detailed rooms. The treehouse even has running water. The running water works like a conveyer belt system with buckets picking up water from a pond at the base of the tree, then taking the water to the top of the treeand dropping it into troughs where the water travels to the desired areas.

The Enchanted Tiki Room - Under new management

The Enchanted Tiki Room - Under New Management is a completely new show with great new songs and special effects. In the pre-show, guests meet two bird talent agents (voiced by Don Rickles and Phil Hartman), who are fighting over who handles the bigger star. These two big stars are the new owners of the Tiki Room, but it isn't until later that guests actually find out who they are. The main show starts off just like the original with all the usual birds singing the original theme song, "In the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room". Halfway through the song, everything is interupted by the loudmouth parrot Iago (from Aladdin) and his conservative friend Zazu (from The Lion King). Iago is unhappy with the old show and wants to change it, but the Tiki birds warn him not to anger Uhoa, the tiki goddess of disaster. He doesn't heed their warning though, and soon enough Uhoa shows up. In a puff of smoke, she sends Iago away. In his absence, the Tiki Room puts on a hip new show with songs such as "In the Still of the Night" sung by the tiki gods, and a new version of the shows theme song. When Iago returns, in crutches, he is impressed by the new songs he's just heard, and thinks the Tiki Room will now be a big hit.

The Pirates of the Caribbean

The Pirates of the Caribbean is a spectacular ride through a Caribbean town that is being raided by the merriest crew that ever sacked the Spanish Main. The ride starts out by guests in boats travelling through an old cave. In the background you can hear the ghostly words of "dead men tell no tales", as you pass skeletons of pirates long dead. A skull and cross bones warns you of impending danger and suddenly you plummet down a small waterfall. When you come out of the cave you are in the middle of a large fight between a large pirate ship and a stone fort. Cannonballs whiz past your boat and splash in the water right beside you. You round a corner and find yourself in the middle of a town atacked by pirates. You pass a man getting dunked in a well, a whench auction, many drunken sailors singing to the tune of "Yo Ho, Yo Ho a pirates life for me" and many other interesting sights. Guests go around another corner and find themselves in a part of the town that is on fire and then manage to make it back to Walt Disney World safely

Yo ho, yo ho! A pirate's life for me!
